POSSIBLE TASKS: encourage/coach Greens to use and promote various GPAC social media (Facebook, Twitter); hold workshops on the use of social media, explore other social media outreach opportunities such as Nextdoor, Indymedia, Berkeley Ecology Center's calendar, EventBrite

Welcome people of all "walks of life."


POSSIBLE TASKS: Make sure that new people sign in at every gathering; identify new Greens and send an introductory letter or make a phone call. Talk with new Greens to learn their interests and share info about GPAC, including Green Party history, structure, program, etc..


Outreach / Liaison Project

How do Greens build relationships with people active in organizations/coalitions/alliances working for social justice? How do we build the Green Party to serve as the electoral arm of the social justice, environmental, and worker movements?


POSSIBLE TASKS: Compile info about community events, demos, issues, and actions for GPAC announcements. Form coalitions and establish liaisons with the many groups with which the Green Party is aligned.

How do we make the Green Party the place to go, for people who want to vote, run for office, and support ballot initiatives.


POSSIBLE TASKS: Recruit, train, and run strong candidates; organize precincts; raise funds for campaigns; work on electoral reform; continue producing the Voter Guide; consider "endorse" rather than "recommend - see write up," assure that the Green Party stays on the CA ballot line (it's OK for now); continue fielding a surplus of GPAC County Council candidates so they appear on the June Primary ballot.

POSSIBLE TOPICS: Philosophy, ideology, eco-socialism; distinguishing the Green Party from corporate-funded political parties; identify the dirty tricks of the Titanic Parties; "safe states strategy"; relationship of activism to electoral work

How can we support Greens in other parts of Alameda County and in Northern California to start or renew Green chapters.


POSSIBLE TASKS: Continue the mentoring and other support work that has been done recently by GPAC; improving the certification process at the state level.
